Local Transportation in Panama

Buses
Buses are a common and affordable way to travel around Panama. The Albrook Bus Terminal in Panama City is the main hub, with buses connecting to all parts of the country. For local travel, city buses and minibuses, known as “coasters,” are widely used. Long-distance buses are comfortable and often equipped with air conditioning.
Taxis and Ride-Sharing
Taxis are readily available in urban areas and tourist destinations. They are a convenient option for short trips and airport transfers. Official taxis are usually yellow and metered, but it’s always wise to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
